1. Cross-Cultural Outreach – Ed Beach, EE International
The goal of this workshop is for the participants to become aware of basic cross-cultural strategies that will help them become more effective witnesses.
The workshop will have the following major components:
a) The biblical basis for cultural factors in evangelism and discipleship.
b) How understanding culture can help to make our witness more effective.
c) Cultural factors in friendship that leads to effective witness.
d) Workshop participants will role play several cross-cultural "connect" strategies.

2. Youth Outreach – This has been cancelled.
Those who have registered for this workshop can either select to attend another one or request the refund of any fees paid.

3. Understanding Buddhism – Rev Caleb Chian, Senior Pastor, Miri Gospel Chapel
(conducted in Mandarin)
Understanding the origin of Buddhism, history, development and different sect of their belief. Understanding the difference between orthodox Buddhism and folk Buddhism and to find out various effective methods to reach out to them. For example: Christianity and Buddhism view on human’s desire can be a wonderful theme to the understanding of the Gospel.

It's 9.00 pm now, New Year's eve as I write this. I will shortly go to our church for an all night prayer meeting. Instead of revelry and partying like lots of people all over the world, greeting the countdown for the new year, our church folks will spend the time sharing about God's faithfulness and giving thanks for the year gone by as we look forward to the new.

This afternoon, the nation received news that the Roman Catholic Church's legal action against the Malaysian government for banning their newsletter from using the word "Allah" for God has succeeded in the High Court. This is a great present for all sensible people in our nation. The judge is a brave one. The Malaysian government, of course, can appeal the decision and it could be overturned. But for this long weekend, let's revel in the fact that miracles still happen and as we look forward to 2010, let's keep the faith that there are many more brave people out there.

We've a Story to Tell to the Nations

Just think of it. You are in a major metropolis. An incredible event has occured in a nearby town. Newspaper boys are shouting, "Extra! Extra!" People are buying the news as fast as they can get their hands on it. You finally get your hands on a copy of this special edition paper. The headline reads, "Child Visited." You scan the lead article and find out that important people had come from a distant country expecting to find a king. Of course, first they had gone to the nation's capital, but after a brief visit they had gone to an outlying town to visit a two-year-old boy and his parents. They gave the child some precious and deeply symbolic gifts. Gifts to recognize eternal wealth and power. Gifts to recognize deity. Gifts to foretell sadness and sacrifice. Everyone is talking about "the story."

It is a fantastic event. But there is something missing in this newspaper. There are no follow up interviews with the visitors. No comments from the child's parents. Not even a background profile on the child. Instead, it seems that everyone involved in the story has vanished. The visitors have left town, and the boy's family seems to have packed up and moved away over night. Even worse, the government has declared the child a "dangerous fugitive," and has decided to respond to the perceived threat by ordering the deaths of every boy toddler in the land. What an incredible tragedy! The entire nation mourns.

Thirty years go by. The sharp pain of killing the children has become a dull, throbbing memory. You wonder whether the visitors knew about the pain and destruction they had left behind them. And then another day of excitement comes. "Extra! Extra!" come the calls again. This is truly peculiar. The Sunday morning paper have already been delivered. Who ever heard of an extra edition on a Sunday? This really must be special, so you buy a copy. It seems that you have found more about the story that had been printed thirty years before. The two-year-old boy had escaped the government's death decree as a toddler, only to be crucified as an adult. But there was more--this man who was crucified is alive again! What a story!

Stories like this would make the news headlines around the globe if they happened today. And guess what--these stories do happen in the hearts of people every day! This week's featured hymn was written by H. Ernest Nichol (1862-1928). Nichol had a story to tell, and this is how he told it:

1. We've a story to tell to the nations, that shall turn their hearts to the right, a story of truth and mercy, a story of peace and light, a story of peace and light. (Refrain)	2. We've a song to be sung to the nations, that shall lift their hearts to the Lord, a song that shall conquer evil and shatter the spear and sword, and shatter the spear and sword. (Refrain)
3. We've a message to give to the nations, that the Lord who reigneth above hath sent us his Son to save us, and show us that God is love, and show us that God is love. (Refrain)	4. We've a Savior to show to the nations, who the path of sorrow hath trod, that all of the world's great peoples might come to the truth of God, might come to the truth of God. (Refrain)
*Refrain:* For the darkness shall turn to dawning, and the dawning to noonday bright; and Christ's great kingdom shall come on earth, the kingdom of love and light.

We still have this story to tell, this song to be sung, this message to give, this Savior to show. May you carry the message of this hymn in your heart and in your life every day.

Crossover Training (from Adult EE to Xee) - Jan 7-8, 2010

This Xee Crossover Training for Adult EE teacher-trainers seeks to teach Xee to certified Adult EE teacher-trainers taking into account all that they have learned in Adult EE. Xee is a newly developed tool for teaching the EE principles using the latest technology in training, learning and communication.

In this 2-day 16 hours course, certified Adult EE teacher-trainers will learn about Xee and be certified as Facilitators to implement Xee in their local churches and Christian fellowship environment. The standard Xee clinic is 3 1/2 days so this 2-days training will only teach what is new in Xee and includes the new teaching and learning methodology.

Xee is easy to learn and easy to teach. As a result of this, more believers would be able to equip other believers to share their faith. This is already happening as we see Xee being used more and more in our nation and elsewhere.

(Due to the nature of this Crossover Training, we cannot accept participants for this training unless they have been previously certified as Adult EE teacher-trainers.)

Those who have no previous experience in Adult EE may attend a full 3 1/2 days Xee clinic nearest to them. The next Xee clinic is in Emmanuel EFC Wangsa Maju, Kuala Lumpur.

EE Office Dedication - 02 Dec 2009

The EE Office Dedication took place at 11.30 am on 2 Dec 2009. It followed a Board meeting which started at 9.00 am. The Dedication started off with Praise and Worship led by Elder Vincent Foong. Elder Norman Choo, the Vice Chairman of EE Malaysia's Board welcomed the 40 odd pastors and church leaders present and led everyone in prayer. After that, Ps Voon Yuen Woh, the Chairman of EE Malaysia gave a presentation on the activities of EE Malaysia during the past year and shared about the challenges for the coming year. He encouraged everyone to work together for the ministry of the gospel and the equipping of believers to share their faith. Rubina then presented some prayer items and the meeting broke up into small groups to pray. The service ended with Ps Eu Hong Seng leading in the prayer of dedication of the premises and for the staff of EE Malaysia. The group then adjourned to the a local Chinese restaurant nearby for lunch and fellowship.

Dear Bishops and Heads of Churches in Malaysia,

Re: “Allah” word cases before the KL High Courts - A call to prayer

Warmest Christian greetings to you in this Advent season as we herald the coming of our Lord and Saviour and celebrate Christmas.

May we request that a season of prayer and fasting be called for in your churches as two “Allah” word cases come before the High Courts in Kuala Lumpur this month. Please disseminate to your churches our request for prayer and fasting as we mobilise all Christians for a time of prayer.

The first hearing on 2 Dec (Wed) 2009 at 2.30pm is before Judge Datuk Alizatul Khair Osman Khairuddin at the Appellate and Special Powers Court 3, KL High Courts Complex, Level 3, Jalan Duta. Malaysian Jill Ireland binti Lawrence Bill is challenging the Home Affairs Minister’s order to confiscate her books which has the “Allah” word.

The second hearing on 14 Dec (Mon) 2009 hearing is before Judge Datuk Lau Bee Lan at the Appellate and Special Powers Court, KL High Courts Complex, Level 3, Jalan Duta. The hearing is likely to be held at 2.30pm. This is a challenge to the power of the Home Affairs Minister to stop the weekly Christian publication “Herald” from using the “Allah” word.

Please pray for the following that :

• The Lord God be sovereign over these hearings;

• The presiding judges be granted wisdom to uphold the provisions of the Federal Constitution;

• The lawyers before the judges may have wisdom, strength and courage to speak the truth in grace and love;

• May evil and its human agents not prevail by disrupting these proceedings;

• May the Lord God grant us His favour by allowing the word "Allah" to be used in the Alkitab, in all Christian publications, and audio-visual recordings in all media in both Bahasa Malaysia and Bahasa Indonesia.

Let us together pray for a good outcome so that all of us, especially our Orang Asli, Sabah and Sarawak brothers and sisters in Christ, may continue to use our Alkitab and all our Christian materials in Bahasa Malaysia and Bahasa Indonesia without fear or hindrance.

For your information, in the 14 December hearing, the Archbishop of KL is seeking several declarations of the High Court namely :

1. the applicant has the constitutional right to use the word "Allah" in the Herald in the exercise of his right that other religions other than Islam may be practised in peace

2. Article 3 (1) of the Federal Constitution does not empower the respondents to prohibit the applicant from using the word "Allah" in the Herald

3. the applicant has the constitutional right to use the word "Allah" in the weekly in the exercise of his right to freedom of speech and expression

4. the applicant has the constitutional right to use the word "Allah" in the Herald in the exercise of his freedom of religion which includes the right to manage its own religious affairs

5. the applicant has the constitutional right to use the word "Allah" in the Herald in the exercise of his right in respect of education of the Catholic congregation in the Christian religion

6. the Printing Presses and Publications Act 1984 does not authorise the respondents to prohibit the applicant from using the word "Allah" in the Herald

7. that the word "Allah" is not exclusive to the religion of Islam

An EE Malaysia team was invited to present the Xee training to TRAC pastors at their 34th Annual TRAC meeting on Novemeber 23, 2009 held at the Everly Hotel in Tanjung Kling, Malacca.

TRAC stands for Trinity Annual Conference and is the English speaking section of the Methodist denomination in Peninsula Malaysia.

Trinity Community Centre launched their first Semester on the 29th April this year. 13 Leaders and full time workers were trained in this Semester. It was a very good experience and blessed time to train this group of committed people. The Pastors and Trainer were very focused and faithfully attended the classes and going on OJTs with the Trainees. They worked very hard and the most important thing is that they all had an enjoyable time witnessing 105 people out of which 53 people made profession. This 1st Semester of Trinity Community Centre was a great SUCCESS. Praise the Lord!

Preparing for the Congress

Last week, the Congress Task Force from EE International arrived to visit the site of next March's Congress of Nations and to make preparations.

They were met by the local Malaysian committee for our 21st anniversary celebrations which is also assisting in the Congress ground preparations.

I find that the Xee training that was given to my school at the Methodist Boys’ School Kuala Lumpur was a success. Before the training, I have never shared with anyone that I knew, friends and family alike. Through the training, I learned quite a few things like sharing the gospel, the approaching techniques and I also built self-confidence in sharing the gospel and socializing. I’ve also learned that we must be attentive to other people as we speak or communicate to show respect so that they might open themselves up. After this training, I feel new, I feel like I can do something for God and like I have also found one of my purpose in life fulfilled, which is spreading God’s word and expanding his kingdom bit by bit everyday.

XEE training is good as it teaches one the skill of sharing the complete gospel and follow-ups as well. Many people are having problem saying the first word, XEE helps them to overcome these problem. It is useful as the trainees only need to follow the outline. Its systematic approach helps the sharing easier and the listener hearing the gospel progressively. Once you learn it, you can share in different language with different culture and people.. All it takes is practices and a willing heart to share the gospel.

Developments in EE Malaysia

Greetings in the precious name of our Lord Jesus Christ.

I take this opportunity to advise you on some major developments that are taking place in EE Malaysia.

Front facade - we're in the 2nd shoplot (not corner!)

Firstly, we thank the Lord that we will shift to new premises in Taman Perindustrian UEP by the end of this month. Renovations are now underway. The new premises will have double our current space and we have included a modest training cum meeting room. We are being assigned new telephone and fax numbers.

As you might already be aware, EE International is going through some internal restructuring and one of those changes will include allowing many more matured EE nations to contribute to policy directions that will affect our vast international ministry. Accordingly, EE International will hold its first Congress of Nations, a gathering of matured EE nations in Kuala Lumpur from March 22-26, 2010. The choice of Kuala Lumpur is a great honour for EE Malaysia and all its churches, teachers and trainers.

As 2010 will also be the 21^st year of EE Malaysia’s ministry, our EE Malaysia Board has made the decision that we should celebrate with our EE friends from all over the world. Accordingly, we have set aside Friday March 26, 2010, time 7.30 pm and have obtained the use of the main sanctuary of Full Gospel Tabernacle, Wisma Eagles, also at Taman Perindustrian UEP, for this purpose. We are inviting you and the leaders and members of every EE church and every believer interested in the ministry of EE to come and join us. We hope that those from outstation will also make a special effort to attend. In conjunction with our 21^st anniversary celebrations, we are conducting some technical workshops that will be highly beneficial on the morning of Saturday March 27, 2010 and ending with lunch together. Ed Beach and Rick Bond, will conduct “Cross-Cultural Outreach” and “Reaching Out to Today’s Youths” respectively. We are planning at least two more workshops, one in Mandarin on “Reaching Out to Buddhists” and another for our Kids EE teachers & trainers.

Attendance at the Celebration Service on Friday March 26, 2010 is free of charge but there will be a nominal fee to register for the workshops due to logistical reasons. More details will be sent out as and when they become available but we are giving early notice so that you can mark your calendars and make flight arrangements (if appropriate).

Since the launch of Xee, a new product that takes advantage of the technological advances in education and communication, we have noticed an increasing interest in our ministry in Malaysia. About 10–15 locations have started Xee semesters, including the recently concluded semester with the student leadership at a secondary school in Kuala Lumpur. In July, we held an Xee Facilitators’ Training in partnership with the Full Gospel Business Men’s Fellowship International, Malaysia and we are excited about the potential to do more.

Please continue to pray along with us as we attempt to win over our nation with the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ.

We thank God for the successful completion of the 3rd KEE Clinic hosted by Basel Church, KK.

There were 17 clinicians from 10 churches. We shared the gospel with 44 children and 40 prayed to accept Jesus. The result is 97%. We give all the praise and glory to our Heavenly Father.

Xee at the Methodist Boys School, Kuala Lumpur

Last week, an Xee semester was conducted at the Methodist Boys School (MBS) Kuala Lumpur with some 14 student leaders from the school. The Xee trainers were members of Emmanuel EFC, Wangsa Maju led by elder David Low.

The training spread throughout the week of holidays and the training included more than 8 OJT calls per team during the week. All in, some 20 students received the gift of eternal life. The students enjoyed their training and were very enthusiastic.

A simple graduation ceremony has been planned on Sept 9th at the School's Chapel Service. Completion certificates will be presented to all the students who attended the training and completed all the requirements for certification.

Acts 8:26-40

1. Seek God’s Leading and Obey Him.

26 Now an angel of the Lord said to Philip, "Go south to the road-- the desert road-- that goes down from Jerusalem to Gaza."

27 So he started out, and on his way he met an Ethiopian eunuch, an important official in charge of all the treasury of Candace, queen of the Ethiopians. This man had gone to Jerusalem to worship,

28 and on his way home was sitting in his chariot reading the book of Isaiah the prophet.

29 The Spirit told Philip, "Go to that chariot and stay near it."

2. Enthusiastically Approach (“Ran Up To”) People Where They Are

30 Then Philip ran up to the chariot and heard the man reading Isaiah the prophet. "Do you understand what you are reading?" Philip asked.

3. Wait For and Accept Their Invitation to Move In Closer.

Dear Friends and Ministry Partners,

As you know, EE training has traditionally been oriented toward training very literate people. Giving them training designed for literates works well for them, but doesn't provide them with an immediate strategy that they can use for illiterates and semi-literates. Even people who are fully literate, but who are oral-preference learners, simply may not be motivated to make on-going use of training that is based on tasks and thought patterns that arise from a literate approach.

To address this situation, Ed and Elenore Beach with EE People Group Services ---a ministry of EE International--- have been developing "Weavers" over the past two years. "Weavers" is a suite of strategies, training events, and support services designed to enable adults in "oral communication cultures" to effectively weave Good News conversations into their day-to-day interactions with people. Ed and Elenore's thinking in this has been very much helped by decades of experience with oral communicators in their Bible translation work as
well as in personal evangelism and discipleship, and by interaction with others who are involved in the International Orality Network.

A distinguishing feature of Weavers is that both the training and evangelism are done using a series of narratives from the Bible.

- Weavers facilitates good understanding of the Gospel by using biblical narratives rather than just a few summary points about the Gospel.
- Weavers is reproducible by illiterates, semi-literates, and others who prefer oral / aural means of learning.
- Weavers is specifically intended for cultures where oral styles of communication are preferred over literate-based communication.
- Weavers training is very interactive so that storytellers and their audience learn to "live in the story," feeling it and interpreting it as was originally intended.
- Weavers promotes humility and respect in order to build relationships for multiple conversations about God's Good News, and thus to help entire families turn to Christ.
- Weavers facilitates adaptation and translation to other languages and cultures.

During the Weavers training, participants observe demonstrations, discuss and practice the Bible narratives with conversations, and learn to tell others about their experience with God. Included in the training are on-the-job training visits to put into practice what has been learned.

What is EE?

EE stands for Evangelism Explosion. Founded in 1963 by Dr. D. James Kennedy as a non-profit corporation, EE is an international ministry which seeks to train and equip church leaders and ordinary believers for evangelism and discipleship. EE is dynamic and not a canned approach to evangelism. Over the past decades, God has spread this ministry to all the 211 nations of the world.

EE is church-based ministry, purposely designed never to supplant any denominational distinctives or ministries. It seeks to enhance and support all other church work. Todate over 200 denominations are using EE in their churches.

How EE Works

There are three things needed to get going in evangelism—the Holy Spirit, know-how and confidence. God gives the Holy Spirit. EE can provide you with the know-how and confidence!

3-Member Teams

The basic unit of EE discipleship is the three-member team. Each team is led by a person who has completed one semester of EE. He then recruits two members to serve as his trainees for one semester. The trainer serves to not only provide a good example, but also to offer encouragement, prayer and personal assistance.

Incremental

The training is accomplished in a 13-week semester. The trainee begins by memorizing only a basic gospel outline. Through the 13-weeks, he will learn to methodically add illustrations and Bible verses, until the presentation is personalized and has become a part of him.

On-The-Job Training

Each class climaxes when the teams go out on actual witnessing calls. During the first few weeks, the trainees will observe their trainers share, which we call On-the-Job Training (OJT). Then each subsequent week, the trainees will progressively take a more active role as they share more and more of the Gospel presentation. Eventually, the trainees will be sharing the whole Gospel presentation under the guidance of their trainers.

The trainer is available if the situation becomes too difficult for the trainees to handle. By the end of the semester, trainees will not only have seen the gospel shared, but will have personally presented it as well.

Multiplication

EE teachers church leaders to start small and build a strong ministry. When one trained pastor puts this multiplication process into practice,

after a period of only four semesters, his church would have equipped 81 personal soul-winners. Winning souls will transform the life of any church. Multiplication takes place when the trainees become trainers, and each one equips two new trainees. The process of spiritual multiplication comes right out of 2 Timothy 2:2— “And the things you have heard me say in the presence of many witnesses entrust to reliable men who will also be qualified to teach others”.

Growth

Laymen who had been trained grow spiritually at incredible rates. One pastor says, “I would have EE in my church even if we never see a single convert added to our church because of what the training does in the spiritual growth of our people”. Grow they do, and grow their churches do too.

It is EE’s intention that every ministry in the local church be strengthened and enhanced as a a result of EE’s implementation. And when EE is properly done, that strengthening becomes apparent!

Over the last two weeks, many of us would have agonized and raged over the untimely and most tragic demise of Teoh Beng Hock. Some of us may have even been overflowing with wrath, given the human side of the tragedy – that Beng Hock was hours away from being a husband and months away from being a father before his life was snuffed out.

Together with thousands all over Malaysia, we have shared a gut-wrenching grief with his family and fiancée, and the feeling has not abated through time.

Thanks to the persistent demands for truth and justice from many quarters, the Government has finally agreed to establish a Royal Commission of Inquiry (RCI). Unfortunately, RCI will only investigate the interrogation methods of the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) and not Beng Hock’sdeath, which will be investigated via an inquest conducted by a magistrate beginning today.

Much as we are disappointed over the Government’s move, let us pick up from this decision to pray earnestly for the following:

1) Pray that the WHOLE TRUTH – and NOTHING BUT THE TRUTH – about Beng Hock’s death will be revealed, whether through the inquest or RCI. Pray there will be no cover up and that the party (or parties) responsible for this heinous crime will be brought to book immediately;.

2) Pray that the Prime Minister’s pledge for a transparent investigation will not be empty rhetoric but an honest, sincere search for the truth, regardless of whatever consequences the truth may bring to the Government and to certain individuals.

3) Pray that the Government will heed the public’s cry for MACC to report to the Parliament instead of to the Prime Minister (as is the current policy). With MACC reporting to the Parliament, it will be impartial towards political parties and thus, be more effective in its objective of weeding out corruption.

While on this matter, we are most disturbed and displeased by the seemingly biased ongoing investigations of our politicians. Reported corruption cases of millions of ringgit involving individuals of certain political parties are left untouched while far smaller cases involving politicians of other parties are being pursued with missionary zeal.

The public is acutely aware of the MACC’s (seeming) partiality. It appears that the MACC is an instrument wielded by certain individuals for their own advantage. By making MACC accountable to the Parliament instead of to the Prime Minister alone, this will prove the Government’s desire to weed out corruption.

4) Pray that through the RCI investigation, MACC’s weaknesses and unjust and unlawful procedures will be exposed and corrected. An example of a weakness – MACC does not allow those being questioned access to solicitors.

5) Finally, pray and tell all your friends who eligible to vote to register as a voter NOW. Every individual vote counts as is proven in last year’s election. Let us take ownership of our country’s future by making our vote count.

DAY ONE
On Sunday 5th July 2009, after the church service in P.J. my family and I went for a quick lunch before we went home and I get ready to go. Yes, to go to Wesley Methodist Church Klang (WMCK) to begin three and a half day training on how to share the Gospel in a new way-The Xee way.

I thought why Klang, a location which is further for me as I reside in USJ and not P.J. as there was another Xee training held at Kelana Jaya. I did not regret later that I chose to listen to Rubina that WMCK was indeed a place filled with excitement! Not that the training in Kelana Jaya has no excitement but WMCK was organized with more young people.

As I was welcomed and led into WMCK, I thought I was not actually in a church as the setup was like a seminar in a hotel or multi-purpose hall. I got to my seat and quickly got to know my team trainer, Kristen, from USA and Irene Chok from FCC. My trainer was so young and later I found out she is 18. Amazing! An 18 years old already on fire for the Lord in sharing her faith and traveled this far to be involved in spiritual multiplication. I think it was meaningful to get to know someone from a foreign land willing to come and serve God.

It was even meaningful to know my prayer partner, David Abraham. We were introduced and he told me he was praying for me. We chatted and shared about the enthusiasm of evangelism.

I REALLY LIKE THE IDEA OF MEETING MY PRAYER PARTNER ESPECIALLY ON THE FIRST DAY.
After the meeting of prayer partners section, we watched two introduction videos of Xee and that helps me to understand better what is all about. I learned about connecting skills and connecting intentionally very clear and precise from facilitator, Scott Carson. I liked the whole idea of connect activity which is similar to OJT which we practiced in Adult EE. After dinner we have our first connect activity with a contact provided by WMCK.

CONNECT ACTIVITY 1
Kristen, Irene and I were laughing over the nametags still hanging down our necks as we go to meet the contact. It was a great experience knowing Amber, the contact who is a local Chinese girl and a college student. We did connect life with her and found out she is a believer and she worship at WMCK. After an hour spent with Amber, we were back reporting and by 9 p.m. we were dismissed.

DAY TWO
In the morning, I got up at 5:30 a.m. and believe me; I never got up at that hour on any day! I started my drive to WMCK around 6:30 a.m. to avoid traffic jam in USJ. Actually I like the idea of driving to Klang at that hour; you know feeling the cool breeze with the window winded down.

Once I got to WMCK breakfast was already prepared. I had coffee and some bread with peanut butter. After breakfast we sang praises and worshipped God and had time of devotion with Rev. Lee Thian Chin. Then the lesson started with Carter teaching us about ‘sharing the faith starts here’ and ‘launch questions.’ After him, Vivienne Voon taught us on ‘your story’ and Stephanie F. demonstrated the sharing and then we had Stephen teaching us on ‘Life’ demonstrated by Josh F.

At 12 noon we have an important announcement, which was lunch break. I was entertained by watching the Americans for the very first time tasting Rambutans and Mangosteens for desserts.

After lunch, Stephen continued with lesson on ‘Us’; Morgan S. demonstrated on it and Greg F. demonstrated on sharing of ‘God’ and then we have Carter again. He finished his teaching on ‘Jesus, Faith and Response’ with Sarah H, Erica B. and Dylan B. doing the demonstrations respectively.

Although today we watched so much video presentation and got through an intensive training on the entire Gospel outline demonstration; we indeed have a great time doing the oral review and practice afterwards. At 6 p.m. dinner is served!

CONNECT ACTIVITY 2
After dinner, Kristen, Irene and I were introduced to a contact named Jennifer, a local Chinese woman and she works in the office nearby WMCK. She is getting married to her fiancé in Singapore soon and she is excited about her life now. During this connect activity we managed to share the entire Gospel outline to her but she was not ready to accept Jesus into her life. She still believes in herself achieving a fulfilled life. It was another great experience for us. As reporting will be done tomorrow, we were dismissed earlier.

DAY THREE
On this Tuesday morning, when I reached WMCK I felt dizzy and have no appetite. About 20 minutes before we get into the hall to worship and have devotion, suddenly I felt relief and feeling good. Quickly I have my breakfast. Praise the Lord! Perhaps my prayer partner, David’s intercession prayer answered.

We started the section with Scott Carson sharing and showing us the entire Gospel presentation on video. After finished watching the video, we have Rubina teaching and guiding us how to write the whole Gospel outline. We had a coffee break and then Mason B. led us to watch the USA team in action presenting the whole Gospel on stage. Once the USA team completed their presentation, we were requested to recite the Gospel presentation. Then Rubina taught us ‘Issues in Life’ on how to handle objections. After lunch we had Stephen taught us on ‘Nurturing Life’ and then the thrill of oral checkup followed! Irene and I did pretty well. Later we had Scott Carson facilitated us on ‘Multiply life and Building Life’.

CONNECT ACTIVITY 3
On this Connect Activity, we were required to identify and share to a stranger as a contact at the mall. So we decide to go to Jaya Jusco Bukit Tinggi Shopping Complex. Kristen, Irene and I had no idea whom to approach in the beginning but we prayed.

Then as we walked towards a mobile stall at the ground floor, Irene noticed a Chinese girl who seems like taking care of the stall. Irene felt that she is the contact Irene wanted to share. We agreed and Irene started talking to her. Her name is Yen Sing and she is local and has been working there for awhile. As Irene was sharing to her, another girl came to the stall next to hers. Her name is Amelia, she is from Indonesia and has been here two years.

I shared with her and she told me her faith is different. So I asked her for permission to pray for her and lo and behold she said yes. After prayer, Kristen came along and talked to her. Kristen asked me if she can give her a tract and I checked it is printed in English, so I asked Amelia if she could read English. To my astonishment, she said she had a dictionary at home. For an Indonesian girl to have an English dictionary in Malaysia is surely rare because we speak similar Bahasa.

Then Irene had finished sharing with Yen Sing, we decided to leave for dinner. As we were leaving, I saw Amelia’s eyes were all wet and she uttered that she will miss us. Kristen turned back and hugged her and then took some pictures with her. Amelia was smiling and I know this episode certainly was divine. I believe God has touched Amelia in His special way.

During dinner at the mall, Irene and I bought Kristen some local food for her to taste and she loved them. We had a great time eating and talking about what happened earlier. Then we went back to WMCK.

CONNECT ACTIVITY 4
At WMCK we were provided with a contact, Walter, a Chinese teenager who attends and worship at WMCK and we shared the Gospel to him. Walter is a believer and he is attentive and understands our sharing. We had a great fellowship together. Later we were back reporting and this time it was so exciting for everyone! We shared with each other from different teams about the experience at the mall.

DAY FOUR
Last day of this training made me ponder should my team and l learn and do more connect activity even after leaving WMCK. I was thinking of my church FBC to hold a Xee facilitator’s training next year.

In the morning, we had a time of worship and devotion and then Rubina and WMCK Rev. Ashok handed out gifts to the USA team members as they were preparing to go sightseeing in Kuala Lumpur. Then we have Vivienne Voon taught us leading discussion groups successly and Rubina explained on Certification packets for Facilitator and Semester training until noon.

For the first time or should I put the last time, we have lunch without the USA team. After lunch, Rubina taught us on implementation and items to incorporate into S.P.E.A.R. and then we have the floor share testimonies. I was delighted to witness so many participants queueing to testify.

After all the oohs and aahs, we have Steve Hanlon shared to us the importance of EE outside the church and expanding the goal from equipping the trainers to include saving souls. He ended with the strong message to challenge us to take the Gospel to the ends of the nation and beyond.

Farewell WMCK. Welcome harvest field.

By 5:30 p.m. we were dismissed to prepare ourselves for the graduation dinner at PJ33 .

Graduation Dinner
At the restaurant I suggested to my church leaders that we must hold a facilitator’s training in FBC next year 2010. We could host the USA team with our resources.

Ruth and I managed to distribute EE Newsletter July issue for everyone before the ceremony begins. This meaningful event started with prayer and followed by testimonies from the USA team and local participants. After that the USA team presented us with a special performance. And so was the singing of a wonderful couple, Raymond Tan and his wife.

Then we have Xee facilitator’s certificates presented to graduates by Rev. Voon Yuen Woh, EE Malaysia Chairman. Later Rev.Voon shared to us a meaningful message about evangelism and question of what do you see? by D.L.Moody. Check it out at www.eemalaysia.net under Articles & Helps.

The evening ended with everyone clicking their gadgets from mobile phones to cameras.

All these come to past because of the King of kings and the Lord of lords, Jesus Christ Himself for what He had done for us all on the cross.

EE Malaysia appoints new Administrator

EE Malaysia welcomes Mr. Henry Pang as its new Administrator.

Henry worships at the First Baptist Church in Subang and serves as an EE trainer in the EE ministry in the church.

Henry has a passion to share his faith with whoever and whomever will listen. He is also involved in the Full Gospel Business Men's Fellowship in Taipan USJ chapter, besides the drug rehab and orphanage ministries.

Henry is married to Sherlynn Ding and they have a daughter Carmen, age 6.

Although Evangelism Explosion has been strong for many years in Malaysia, Penang has been a difficult place to spread this ministry tool. With the help of a mission team from Nyack College in New York we brought together leaders from various local churches to be trained in Xee.

Above you see four local leaders trained and ready to train others in their churches. It is a small but promising start to developing this ministry in Penang.

Second from the left is Pastor Albert Mah. During the training Pastor Albert shared his testimony with the group. The Lord brought him to repentance through the verse John 10:10 and the promise of an abundant life.

This is the whole idea behind the the Xee training; that God wants us to live a full life now through Him. Pastor Albert is making preparations to begin training his church in Penang. Please keep him and his ministry in your prayers.

A NEW GENERATION

Xee in Kuala Lumpur

A team of 28 leaders and students from Rio Vista Church in Fort Lauderdale, Florida joined us in early July to help train local church members in Xee. Through the four day training 36 people were trained and 18 accepted the Lord.

Zeb, a local friend of mine, came to hear the gospel one night. He had been a Christian for many years, but never understood what a fulfilled life through Christ was really all about. For a long time he had felt as though there was some disconnect between his relationship with the Lord and his daily life. Through this new explanation he now understands that God alone can satisfy both now and forever.

Some local pastors were even using this event as a platform to pass the torch to their younger church leaders. For me this was the most encouraging part. It really seems to take a lot for pastors here to give control to their younger leaders, but if they don’t they will never be able to reach the next generation with the gospel.

I believe they were encouraged to do so by the young trainers from the US as they helped to lead those much older in discussion groups.

Albert was in Malaysia last week for his daughter Liza's graduation from LimKokWing University.

Albert is a businessman from Bali and is active in teaching at EE clinics in Indonesia. Every year he teaches some 15 Adult EE clinics throughout Indonesia.

July 5^th 2009 marks an historic event as EE Malaysia partners with Full Gospel Business Men’s Fellowship (FGBMF) Malaysia to host an Xee Facilitator’s Training at the FGBMF headquarters in Kelana Jaya, Selangor.

Among the aims of the FGBMF is to reach men in all nations for Jesus Christ and to train and equip men to fulfil the Great Commission. With the Xee training, these trained faithful men will continue to do the work of reaching this nation using the resources and influence available to them. We pray that this partnership between EE and FGBMF will impact significantly the work of the gospel in our nation.

FGT PJ Clinic

The clinic ended on Father's Day, 21st June 2009 with sad goodbyes. They had come from 4 different countries, 19 different churches. They came from the Brethren, Baptist, Charismatic, Methodist, Assemblies of God, Adventists persuasion. All together united to equip their congregations for the end-time harvest.

Let us pray together that the coming months will see several more new churches implementing EE and equipping their church members to share their faith.

Greeting from Japan!

I wanted to tell you how EE leadership clinic in KL was blessing!

I thank you very much for letting me know about the course and allowing me to attend it.

19 years ago, I took the 13 weeks course in PA for the first time. Though I was not a very committed student, I was born again through it. So this leadership clinic was like a time machine to me! As I was memorizing the outline of the presentation and reading the textbook, I was returnng to the FIRST LOVE and FIRST EXCITEMENT I found in Jesus for the first time!

Since then, I have been exposed to so many Christian programs, teachings, camps, seminars, books and many dynamic worship services.

But so manhy times, I felt unfulfilling. No matter how I could get excited with dynamic worship services and how much I learned about God in classes, there was always one question in me. "By this, do lost people get saved?"

During this week with EE clinic, the Holy Spirit kept reminding me saying, "Here is the place, everything started, and here is the place you need to come back and STAY." It has been so long while that I could devote myself to something without questioning "By this, do lost people get saved?"

I flew to Malaysia with big expectation of learning and equipping. I believe the Lord has responded to me overwhelmingly.

But I also flew to Malaysia with one prayer request. I wanted to know how I should serve to implement EE in Japan while serving for a local church as a pastor.

I began this prayer two months ago because there were series of incidents which seemed to be speaking something about my direction.

Here is my plan for now.

I will contnue seeking His guidance regarding my involvement with EE.

Meanwhile, I will steadily continue pastoring this church and begin translating the EE student manual, other printed materials and DVDs in to our language.

As soon as the student material set is ready, I will bigin teaching 13 weeks course with Mr. Hirano and three others.

I was suggested by EE teachers in Malaysia to start the class with maximum of four, so I can do OJT efficiently.

As a result of expansion, it is seeking a committed Christian to fill the position of Administrator based at its office in Subang Jaya. The successful applicant will be responsible for the efficient running of the EE office administration, including handling the training materials. He or she is also expected to attend to the production/printing of these materials, maintaining the inventory and handling the material orders and to give support to our growing number of Implementation Advisors.

Applicants should possess relevant working experience and be able to communicate effectively at all levels. A basic knowledge of accounts would be an advantage.
